Ok, I found this drawing I did when I was a little kid. I figured it was blog worthy.
Here’s some more progress. Sneak peaks only!
Many panel boards for more paintings! Yay!
I don’t really have a great place to paint right now, so I’m thinking I’ll be doing some more drawings. Maybe I’ll score a studio one day so I can crank out giant paintings all day long. Well Summer is coming to an end, but its been a good run and it was jam packed with fun adventures and art making. Maybe I’ll throw a few more photos up next.
After heading down the coast and Highway 1, we headed into sf to hang out with some friends, and then headed over to Sacramento to meet up with some more of our favorite people.
Bengry and Annie
Famous photographer/designer extraordinaire, Serene.
So we left Seattle, and headed down to Portland to visit the Puddle Cutters. They took us to some secret hot springs in the middle of Mt. Hood National Forrest. It was the middle of the night, so no pics available. We then headed down to California. We stopped to check out the awesome redwoods.
We made it to Seattle in two days of driving. Woot! We met up with this guy right here, Phil. We had to make it throught some mountainous Idaho, but so far Washington is a blast.
Mount Ranier yeah!
And then Bengry broke his engine mount on his hobbit, but we took it to the shop and got it welded.
And then Bengry got a tow-strap stuck in his back wheel.
Puget Sound
We decided to build up the tri-ped for the ride, but were soon defeated by a seizure and constant overheating.
Typical rally funny business.
Seattle was filled with great things and fun times; more pictures later. The trip continues!
We leave Seattle tomorrow and move on to other places.
The past two days have been spent driving from Grand Rapids, to Seattle, mostly nonstop through the night. We just got here, here’s some pics so far.
Chad and I loaded up our mopeds in his truck and headed to Illinois to Bengry’s palace.
We loaded up bikes in his Element, after I changed my clutch, which was fried.
Our trailers small, but we fit 4 mopeds, which successfully made it to Seattle!
Driving from 3:00 am until Sunrise was pretty awesome through through South Dakota.
Our friend Kate came along for the trip. We have been popping the roof piece off the element and riding out the top through the Montana and Idaho mountains. Its super fun with helmets so that the wind doesn’t kill your eyes.
More updates as I get wifi. Until then, I’ll be jamming in Seattle and somewhere in the Northwest.
About a month and a half ago, I left my wonderful job doing design work at Spearia to pursue art full time. It has been wonderful so far. I just finished up a few larger projects for some super awesome clients, and now I am making paintings and getting ready for a show in San Francisco in the Fall. Also, my summer has been riddled with motorcycling, fun travels, and great Michigan weather, so I have also been busy enjoying the sunny season.
I can’t reveal all the art I’ve been making quite yet, but here’s a few random things.
So I’ll try to throw a some scraps and doodles of what I’m up to on here every so often. I leave in a week for a road trip to Seattle and around the west coast, should be great. Leave a comment or something and say hi, it will motivate me to post more drawings and things.
